one cost of a new phone app is paying a designer to develop it for you. this cost will fluctuate depending on the expertise of the designer. the higher the level of expertise of the designer, the higher end app you will have. another cost of creating a new phone app is the complexity of it. if the app is more complexed, it will cost a lot more to create and will take a lot more time.

2. identify one act of legislation that is applicable to the creation of a new national newspaper and explain what impact it is (3)

one act of legislation is the data protection act. this is because when a journalist is writing an article in a newspaper paper, they have to be careful what data they put in so they don't expose the data of the customer. if exposed, they can file can file a lawsuit against them.

3. you have been offered a job as an apprentice for a company called Align Media. when they offered you the apprenticeship, you were required to sign a form giving the intellectual rights of any work you produce to Align Media (3)

I am required to sign the form  so when work is created, the company already own the rights and don't have to ask for permission first.

One type of revenue stream is advertisement, this makes the website more profitable as it brings more interest and publicity towards the business. As well as this company's will pay large amounts for just one advert which is massively profitable because of the low costs of this. This will make the website more profitable as a larger budget allows for a more complexed website.

5. Identify two ethical issues that you would need to consider before your team develops ideas for a documentary on refugees. Explain how these will impact on the project (8)

One ethical issue you would have to consider, is having a legitimate documentary as any untrue information could be seen as slander. Due to this all facts and figures should be checked before creating the script.

Another ethical issue is that many employees may be affected personally by the refugees and as you would have to consider if the language of others may upset them and may become discriminatory/racist towards anyone affected.Therefore, you would have to carry out background checks of all individuals beforehand to make sure nobody will become upset.

6. identify one regulatory body which could provide guidance with regard to creating a new advert for a children's charity. explain your choice (2)

the ASA is the advertisement body in media. this is funded by the advertisement industry . this will Make the advert appropriate for all ages.
